COVID-19 relief visit to St. Joseph, Luuka District

St Joseph primary school is located in Walyembwa village Luuka district.The schools has a total number of 1,080 pupils and the 997 pupils from p.1 up to p.6 are home due to covid 19 restrictions (s.o.p) allowing only candidates in total number of 83 in primary seven( p.7]  to complete their final exams as it was authorized by the government as longer the social operating procedures (s.o.p) are observed to limit the spread of corona virus.

The school is in shortage of water, desks, textbooks, Shortage of hygiene equipment like sanitary pads which affects girl’s academic concentration and leading them to drop out of school at a tender age before completing primary, Lack of shoes for both girls and boys.

Shine With Skills organized both education and hygienic materials to support these teenagers through out there examination period Materials like:-

  • Mathematical Sets
  • Books
  • Pens
  • Sanitary Pads
  • Liquid Soap

We appreciate the Rotaract club of Jinja for supporting the pupils by donating a water tank for the school to harvest water. We call upon well-wishers to come join the project and help one SHINE WITH SKILLS without lacking the basics.
